How To Submit Articles To Article Directories
Rudy Silva, B.A. Physics
When you submit articles to directories, this is a sure way to get traffic to your site. This process is part of building up your website, so that it moves up the search engine ranks. To get the best results in this process, you should spin your articles so that each article that you submit to each article directory is unique.
In other articles, I want to show you how to spin articles, so that you get the most benefits from spinning.
Now, most article directories have their own rules on what is permitted on articles submitted to their directories. Here is a list of basic rules to follow, when you submit articles to article directories.
You want readers to read your whole article, so make it interesting, otherwise they will not get to your resource box.
1. All words in a title should be capitalized. Small two letter words don’t need to be.
2. Keep the title clean of any code or special characters.
3. Don’t use all caps on the title or author’s name. Keep the author’s name clean.
4. Use a summary of to 200 words, when you submit articles. Summary should be clean of any code, links or author’s name.
Now let’s look at what the article body should be like when you submit articles.
5. Write up to 300 to 600 words per article. Some directories want around 500 words. If your article is too long, a person may not completely read it, unless it is really interesting.
6. Keep your article clean of HTML code and URL links.
7. Your article should deliver what your article title says.
8. Write articles that are unique. If you use another article as a base, add you own thoughts and experience into the articles so that it is different.
9. Use good grammar. Always spell and grammar check your writing. Proofread your article once after spell checking.
10. Use quotes, facts, or charts to make your article interesting.
11. The resource box is where you promote yourself, so add up to two links for your sites. Some directories allow three links and all directories allow two links. Links should be related to your article.
12. Target your articles by using one or two keywords. This will give more boost to these keywords. Using to many keywords will dilute the effect of keywords in your article.
When you submit articles, there are certain things to avoid, if you want your article to be accepted. Here is a quick list of these “no, nos.”
1. Do not write about pornographic, hate, racial, or violent subjects. They will not be posted and you will be wasting your time.
2. Avoid writing about hacking, cracking, weapon creation, and related topics.
3. Do not submit articles about illegal activities.
4. Avoid submitting the same article over and over with very little change. For an article to be different it must have at least 50% difference from the first article.
5. Don’t use excess bolding and other special hard to read fonts.
There you have it. Follow these simple rules, when you submit articles, and you will get accepted 95% of the time.
